LET’S TALK: FIGHT DEPRESSION

So, how does depression feels like? Sadness? Crying? Being Fatigue? It’s everything and much more than you think. Based on Science, it is a symptom of brain neurons not managing to communicate, serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and act. It is a common mental disorder that presents with depressed of mood, loss of interest, energy, lack of sleep, appetite, and concentration. Depression can make these conditions worse and sometimes medication for this illness may cause side effects that contribute to depression symptoms. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), depression is the most common illness worldwide and the leading cause of disability. They estimate that 350 million people are affected by depression, globally.

Depression feels like a lot of things. Everyone thinks it’s a horrible burden. Everyone in the world is happy but in your place it’s the end of the world. It feels like emptiness. You have all these possibilities but none of them seem to be interesting. It feels like desperation, nowhere way out. It feels like you have only one thing truly under your power, existence. Your brain and body have betrayed you. You live in fear of other people’s judgments. Eventually, you stop caring about being alive. It hurts too much to think, trying to make effort, to keep fighting. Depression is NOTHING to joke about and the worst word that could someone says is “KILL YOURSELF”. There are many reasons behind it, or perhaps there might be a strong reason enough and it might be genetic.

You cannot cure your depression in one day, but you can begin. Be ready to change, a major change. There is something going wrong in your life, asking you to change it in the form of mental and emotional pain. Aside from medication from the doctor, you should help yourself to fight depression. Your life depends on you. Always remember why you started, set goals to improve your daily routine. Having people or even one person that truly cares can be helpful for your confidence and share your problems. Get so busy out there, it helps you not to overthink. Always take part in creative activities or explore new hobbies.

Now, remember all of these points, it will only work if you come to that realization that life must go on. You can only start doing things when you know the past will be a memory and that you have to live in the present. Keep Smiling, Keep laughing and never let yourself pull down by anything in this whole world. Things can get better only if you want them to be that way. Believe in yourself, believe in the power that you have to overcome any struggles and you are good to go.
